Canton & Inspired By...

The trip to canton was a raving success the crowds the food ( yes I ate an entire funnel cake) it was everything I knew it would be! This was my second trip out and to be honest we would have to go several more times just to walk the entire grounds It was a blast!
My main goal was to find a good deal on an animal print rug that I've been wanting for a year now and Shan so sweetly obliged me.
We ventured to the very back of the lot where we found people selling their wares and for much more economical prices than in the main buildings so needless to say I scored a few great deals for my redecorating project that was in the front of mind as I shopped.

The reason I was inspired to redecorate and loose my fear of color was because of my newest blog favorite Becca @ Home Is Where My story Begins. The love she puts in to her home and family has been refreshing and so inspiring to me so much so that I redecorated my kitchen and living room area after seeing her spaces. Her use of red made me happy and so I wanted to achieve the same feel in my own home. Although we do have different styles of decorating you will notice that I definitely was moved by her use of red and the feeling of comfort and warmth it gave me.
Here is a peek of her home:
And a link to her party go over and join us@Home Is Where My Story Begins Family Friday!I also linked with Mommy Head Adventures No Rules blog hop, No Minimalist Here Open House Party,House In Roses Show Off  Your Cottage Party & Funky Junk Interiors  SNS Party and one of my favorite blogs Its A Very Cherry World!

Comeca,
Your place is looking great! I particularly love the red gingham in the kitchen.

And if a red broom makes sweeping more fun, I'm all over that.

What a great rug, too!

What a great buy on your cowhide rug, and I use teatowels for my dishdrainer too. That way I can always keep them washed where as that dish drainer tray always looks so dirty.

Red is really the perfect color to make things pop... you did a great job. lol.. I dont like plastic under the dish drain either... I usually hide it in a cabinet when I'm not using.
